Inspired by kimono fabric, Yuzen Chiyogami paper is known for its brilliant color patterns with gold metallic overlays.

Yuzen and chiyogami actually refer to two different patterns. Originally designed for the textile industry in Kyoto, yuzen was elaborate and gold-laden. Chiyogami refers to a paper design from the Edo period made by woodblock printing. The combination — Yuzen Chiyogami — can be seen in this gorgeous origami paper.
