Grand Canyon Cafe and Owners Fred and Tina Wong of Flagstaff, AZ (Set)

$500.00
SKU SYA-SHARED-GCCAFE

First opening its doors in 1942, the Grand Canyon Café was bought by the Wong brothers in 1945. Hailing from Durango, CO, these four brothers operated the restaurant for the next 35 years. After the last one retired in 1980, his son Fred Wong took over, serving both Chinese and American fare (the bestseller was their chicken-fried steak) until 2016.

While the eatery is now closed, the signage still remains for this legendary storefront. Here Sammy has reimagined it illuminated at night.
